Check1st (check1st.uk) is a dating-safety tool that analyses messages for manipulation patterns. Check1st is operated by the same data controller as MyCaseOrganiser, registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number C1943349.

Before any analysis, participant names in your messages are automatically replaced with neutral labels (Person A, Person B). The AI analysis is performed on this anonymised version, so the analysis cannot be biased by who submitted it. Real names are only restored in the result shown back to you.
The anonymised text is sent to OpenAI's API to perform the analysis. OpenAI's API policy states this data is not used to train their models. Under their standard policy, content may be retained by OpenAI for a limited period (up to 30 days) solely for abuse monitoring, then deleted.
Data is held on secure servers within the European Union (Finland), under UK GDPR-equivalent protection. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.
Messages may contain sensitive personal data (for example about relationships, health, or abuse). This is special category data under UK GDPR. Our legal basis for processing is your explicit consent, given when you submit messages for a scan. You should only submit conversations you are a party to.
Under UK GDPR you can: access the data we hold about you, request correction or deletion, withdraw consent, and complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk. Because we do not store your messages and results auto-delete after 30 days, there is normally no stored personal data to act on. Contact hello@check1st.uk.
